Topics for 2002 The East African Journal Of Human Rights and Democracy is intended to stimulate informed regional and International debate on the twin issues of human rights and democracy, as well as on the questions of the economic and social policy in Eastern Africa.

The journal presents a resource for continuous reflection, analysis, creation and dissemination of knowledge and information on human rights and democracy. The journal presents articles reporting on results of original research, comparative analysis on the state of human rights and democracy from a variety of perspectives by experts in a range of disciplines, cultures and orientations. It also caries perspectives highlighting various emerging issues, reviews and book reviews on the subject and the region.
